Internet is a combimation of hardware and software that are connected together, for training and interviews people join the zoom and zoom has a firewall to identify the vulnerablity and blocking them, so firewall can be a software and it can be a hardware.
These are the some of important applications of internet such as fridge, washing machine,television ,laptop, mobile,desktop,servers and microwave, now you can provide commands with help of internet.
These devices are called the host or end system or end points.
Communication link is a type of wire that connects the devices on internet , or you can say a network(internet) connected together by communication links and packet switching.
How does Internet controlled?
When we need the control ,we require some sort of rules ,what you can search on internet,what you can download, what your brouser have downloaded, everything is a rule that formulate the protocol , so internet is controlled by protocol and it is the searching rule of internet, what site needs to search and what require to block in context of the government.
So, protocol is agreement signed for communication on internet.
What is the protocol?
When we ask a question to a professor,first we greet ,it shows us the manner or rule of human protocol, if a person visit to the friend and ask something,friend doesn't need greeting,but human protocol says that we need to say hello/ hi, There is a edge case on the protocol, if that person doesn't understand your language, you will not retrieve response. Protocols are just a tiny rules,which your application needs to follow, and protocols are important, you may obtain fine for not obeying them, some are govt. protocols to.
So, web applications are built on top of protocol, if your application doesn't understand the protocol, it can't able to work under the hood. Network protocols are similar to human and government protocols which you need to follow,it's the rule. In network protocol ,the humans are replaced with hardware and software.
