BigdataSight started with a recurring problem: opening a large file is only the first step; understanding what changed is harder. It is a native macOS workstation for inspecting and querying local files, remote objects, and lakehouse tables. The app is local-first and read-only by default. We are exploring better ways to make data investigations easier to verify, explain, and repeat.
Our stack
Swift, SwiftUI, and AppKit for a native macOS experience. Support spans Parquet, CSV, JSON, SQLite, Arrow, Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, and Amazon S3. The website is built with Next.js and TypeScript.
