A checklist for turning a notebook into a service

After the third notebook-to-service conversion, I wrote a checklist. It's not clever, but it saves days.

• Pin the environment (requirements + Dockerfile)
• One entrypoint function: load_model() + predict()
• Golden input/output test
• Health endpoint that also checks model version
• Structured logs with request id and model version
• A fallback path when the model fails to load

The last one is the one people forget. A service that crashes at startup is worse than a service that degrades.

Side quest: learning Kotlin Multiplatform, because I keep ending up on teams that need a mobile client for their model.
