Reporting in Power BI - Quick Steps

Power BI is a business analytics service by Microsoft. It aims to provide interactive visualizations and business intelligence capabilities with an interface simple enough for end users to create their own reports and dashboards.

Power BI Reporting

Steps:
1. Prepare Data

  • Importing Data (from data sources)
  • Transforming Data (Edit query in Query editor)
  • Rename table
  • Append Query (two or more tables to append columns)
  • Fixing Metadata
  • Filter Rows (condition)
  • Remove Columns
  • Adding Columns
  • Merge queries (inner, outer, left, right)
  • Split by delimiter
