Large-Scale Data Management - Best Practices in Enterprise Architecture was read.

I picked it up because I was more interested in the architecture discussion than data management itself.

The idea is that if data management is done centrally, it becomes difficult to keep up with changes in data management trends, so we should aim for a scalable architecture.

I learned that data warehouses tend to become siloed, so it's better to avoid them. (I was quite unaware...)

The first half discusses architecture that is not limited to data management, while the second half talks about practices in data management architecture, but I felt the content was somewhat vague. It might be easier to read if you have some background knowledge or experience in data analysis infrastructure.

It seems that the 2nd edition of Large-Scale Data Management is being published, and if you're going to buy it now, this might be the better option. The content seems to be updated, and the table of contents looks interesting.
