Hello everyone!
This is my first post here. I’ve started building TaskForge, a Java library focused on making asynchronous job execution easier to use.
So far, it supports:
- Virtual threads or daemon platform thread pools.
- A configurable limit on how many jobs run at once.
- Task failure logging and a failure callback.
- Statistics for running, completed, and failed jobs.
- Resource cleanup through try-with-resources or an explicit
.close()call.
I’m a junior Java developer, and this is still an early project. My goal is to keep it lightweight and straightforward while learning more about Java concurrency.
What would make a library like this useful to you? Are there repetitive parts of managing asynchronous tasks that you’d like a library to handle?
It isn’t on GitHub or Maven Central yet. I’m still working through the design and fixing bugs, but I plan to share it once it’s ready for others to try.
Thanks for reading!
