I’m raising this post out of disappointment as a long-time Microsoft user and Rewards participant.
There are multiple issues happening simultaneously with the Microsoft Rewards platform, and none have been properly addressed through official support or community channels.
1. Referral Program Changed After Use
The initial "Refer & Earn" program promised up to 1300 points when a friend completes welcome tasks.
I referred a friend based on this promise.
After the referral was made, the program changed to give only 1 point per search, and we never received the 1300 points.
This is misleading and feels like a bait-and-switch.
2. Daily Search Points Reduced
Daily Bing search points were reduced from 150 to just 30 without proper communication or updates.
New “Gold Member” status was introduced, but it has no visible benefits or clarity.
Many long-term users feel this is unfair and dishonest.
3. Community and Support Restrictions
I posted about the referral issue in the Microsoft Community, and the post was locked without explanation.
When I tried to post again, I faced an error: “No data found” in the product dropdown — and couldn’t submit.
It feels like efforts are being made to silence complaints or prevent them from being visible.
4. Support Not Resolving Issues
I submitted a support ticket and provided evidence, but no clear resolution was offered.
I’m deeply disappointed that users are left without answers or options.
❗️Request:
I urge Microsoft to:
Honor the referral rewards that were clearly promised
Provide transparency about the Gold Member program and search point changes
Ensure the community forums remain open for real feedback
Fix the site issues that block valid posts
Please treat this with seriousness. Many users are frustrated, and the trust built with Microsoft Rewards is eroding rapidly.
