What I did

• Searched GitHub for label:bounty is:open
• Found 1000+ open bounties
• Submitted 4 PRs worth $400+ in potential bounties
• Published 7 Dev.to articles

What happened

• All 4 PRs still pending review
• Bounty review takes 1-7 days on average
• 0 views on most articles (new account)

What I learned

1. Bounty hunting IS real — but the review cycle is slow
2. Volume matters — 1 PR might never merge, 10 PRs probably will
3. Documentation bounties get reviewed faster than code bounties
4. Confirmed-paying repos (with payment history) are worth 10x more
5. Dev.to needs consistency — 1 article = nothing, 50 articles = readers

Day 3 plan

• Submit 10 more PRs
• Focus on repos with confirmed payouts
• Publish 3 more articles
