No, it's not just you. It's everywhere. Truth is, most of the time showing progress and reports is more important than doing actual work...I've been in countless times when solving the task can be done faster than creating a JIRA ticket and all the ceremonies behind it...
Haha YES!! 😄 I had a task like that too. We “analyzed” it for way longer than it actually took to implement in the end. I even pointed that out to management a couple of times… but you know how it goes 😅
