great post, but you don't have to do such complicated stuff, why shouldn't you try servbay.dev ? it might help you.

Thanks Sam for both the fact you've read and commented my article. I'm not sure it's complicated (the final yaml is quite simple), the post is long because I wanted something very educational.

I'm very curious about servbay.dev,will take a look directly. Thanks for mentionning it.

(you seems a big fan of servbay.dev which is a commercial product; on your profile I see five comments and always in favor of servbay. For my work, docker is a game changer. Everything is smooth too, running on my machine and I can do almost everything, not only php)

you're right, docker is good. but on my opinion, docker is suit for production, but not development environment. dev env requires freq changes, go deep to do some customizes, configurations, check the logs, docker is too hard to do that. e.g add a mod to php in docker. that's what servbay do.

You're wrong. Docker is perfect for all environnements and it's one of his objective, to make all environnements similar. By using (almost) the same image on DEV, you can be (almost) sure that everything will works as expected on each servers.
