Is Clean Code really practical?

Small functions are easy to understand? What if we have too many of them?

Meaningful function names? Is it that easy?

Avoid switch statements, boolean arguments? How ?

When I first read the Clean Code book, I admit it was mind-blowded to me. I was so excited to practice and try to apply the rules to my side projects. But over time, I start to realize that it isn’t easy to achieve.

Does anyone feel the same? Can anyone tell a success story about applying Clean Code?
By the way, the Clean Architecture is also too hard for me. I am quite frustrated!
