Vadim Mashurov, the founder of Instime company and guru of Ukrainian IT-business, told his followers about his life path, Instime project and relations with finances.
Just three months after its launch Instime project scaled over 100 countries and started serving more than 125 thousand users. Ukrainian Ilon Musk shared the story of his success and spoke about his vocation.
Behind success, as a rule, there are many factors - talent, diligence and luck. Vadim Mashurov, a talented IT specialist, businessman and one of the youngest and most successful entrepreneurs in Ukraine, demonstrated this on his own example.
Travelling, expensive and exclusive cars, top gadgets - to achieve this you need not only have outstanding abilities but also consciously refuse momentary pleasures, to work even when everyone is resting. This is the main secret of the young entrepreneur.
1. How did you start your career, how did you start your way into the IT business?
Vadim Mashurov does not belong to the so-called "golden youth”. He did not have rich parents who bought him a company. Everything he has today, he achieved on his own, by his own efforts.
From early childhood, I began to get involved in technology, love for innovation inspired me to intensively study in this direction. With the help of programming textbooks, technical documentation, mentors and, of course, greater desire and ingenuity, at the age of 14, I was able to get my first paid remote job in IT Startup for a team from the USA.
2. You are so young and already one of the most successful entrepreneurs in Ukraine. Was it a tough road to success?
The expression "Success" is quite relative. Having created a business with a multimillion-dollar capitalization in Ukraine, you can feel successful, but if you fly to Silicon Valley and you are already an outsider compared to the giants of the industry, the whole point is where you look and what you look up to. As I mentioned earlier, I started with an employee, a developer in C #, JS. Then he co-founded an IT Fintech company, after which they launched a product in the field of Digital Marketing and promotion in social networks.
Today I am focused on the global financial market, in the process of creating an ecosystem of fiat and crypto instruments. All these stages of development were passed with pleasure next to the coolest team and worthy partners and this is only the beginning of our journey.
3. How did you get started on the Instime project? was it difficult to start? have you seen success in the project?
The idea of the Instime project was invented by my friend, and he very stubbornly insisted on its joint implementation, at the same time I very stubbornly refused, since for me digital marketing & social media were new directions and I specialized in fintech. It was not difficult to start, but I believed more in a person, and believed that with our joint skills and capabilities, we would be able to create a worthy product. During the development process, according to preliminary analytics, we understood that the product would be in demand, despite its novelty, but the results after the launch surpassed all our expectations, and the dynamics of development was much stronger than at that time we could master
Today Instime, an Instagram promotion service, works in 110 countries and reaches over 120 thousand users. The idea for its creation appeared in 2018, and within six months the first tangible successes have already appeared. Partly thanks to the demand for the product itself.
4. You are young and successful, is it difficult to organize your own business if you are still young? What advice would you give young aspiring businessmen?
I do not think that age is the main determinant of the complexity of organizing a business, rather the environment, the ability to borrow someone else's experience, abandon vices and prioritization leading to your goal, had a greater impact. Actually, this is advice, choose your environment, learn, set goals, prioritize and control your vices.
5. Do you think university education is important in today's world in order to achieve success? For many young people, the older generation drives it into their heads that without education a person will not be able to get a job in life. Therefore, many young men and women are looking for themselves for a long time. Has this happened to you?
I cannot speak for the entire education system, because a lot depends on the country, specialty, university. In my case, higher education only took time. And I recommend young men and women not to spend a lot of time on definition, but to try, act, not be afraid to make mistakes and make decisions that change your life, and the sooner you start, the more you learn and the more likely you will find what you love to do.
6. What did it take for you to believe in yourself, in your business and projects?
Belief in oneself begins with thinking and is supported by the positive results of one's actions, realized goals, justified expectations, good health. Belief in business begins with the analytics of the idea, market analysis, team analysis, prospects and scaling, progress along the planned roadmap (RoadMap).
7. How successful are your projects now?
As I answered earlier, everyone defines success in their own way. Having tried our hand at IT Fintech, we have created one of the best companies in the CIS, in the field of Digital Marketing & Social Media we have scaled to more than 100 countries in just 3 months from the launch of the product, and now we are one of the first in the dynamics of development in the world of financial markets and financial instruments.
8. How did the Google Ukraine Consultations begin?
Many giants and large corporations turned to squeezing out valuable information during the rapid leap forward of decentralized technologies, one of which was Google. This is not unusual, because we had an emphasis on the development of this technology and a lot of successful launched international projects, in connection with which they turned to us for knowledge and we "shared" it.
9. Tell us about your plans, what you want to implement in the near future, are there any new projects.
At the moment, the plans include the implementation of an international financial ecosystem, the purpose of which is to form financial literacy in children from the age of 7, as well as to provide a full range of services and services in the financial world on favorable terms, avoiding overpayments and useless intermediaries.
