Personally, I like Linode! Simple, good pricing, great service, no hidden costs. But then, I like having complete control over my server, too.

If you need a managed host instead, I used HostGator for many years (before switching to Linode). Last I knew, they were still pretty good.

(P.S. I do have a referral code for Linode if anyone follows up on this: b650c7a5ccf4dba96b65871836a3f7d9a7503232. When someone uses that while creating a new account, I get some account credits, which I use.)
