  • Practice makes for perfect. Spend an hour daily honing your hard skills, and take practice skills tests on third party platforms like HackerRank or Codility.
  • Ask questions early and often. Things like:
    • Agenda or summaries of what to expect for specific steps in the interview process
    • Clarity on code tests. Some tests are very agnostic and focus on language basics, others will involve implementing a solution. These have very different approaches to solve, so it's valuable to know that in order to prep accordingly.
    • Who you'll be meeting with. Use that information to understand their background, which will help you understand the perspective they'll approach during the interview process.
  • Research the companies in question as best you can. Glassdoor is a good source for established companies to learn about the interview process. Crunchbase is also a good source to understand the history/funding of a company.
