Last year I decided to grow tomatoes on my apartment balcony.
I thought it would be easy:
a few pots, water, sunlight… done.
I was completely wrong.
At first the plants looked healthy.
Then suddenly:
🍅 yellow leaves
🍅 weak growth
🍅 very few tomatoes
🍅 dry soil every afternoon
I kept thinking the problem was the weather.
But most of the issues were caused by beginner mistakes:
pots that were too small
inconsistent watering
poor soil
not enough sunlight
Once I fixed those things, the difference was incredible.
My balcony started producing real, healthy tomatoes even in limited space.
And honestly, watching tomatoes grow every morning became strangely relaxing.
The good news?
You don’t need a garden to grow tomatoes successfully.
Even a small balcony can work surprisingly well if you organize it correctly.
