Apache won't start

#apache #xampp

This happened on my mac whenever i would try to start apache with

sudo /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/xampp startapache
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

the result would be Another web server is already running.

Solution is to stop the built in apache server of OSX with

sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.apache.httpd.plist
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode


then try to start apache again
