The Government of Dubai Media Office published a 14 event calendar for September, covering Dubai World Trade Centre and the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City, and it is a decent small dataset if you want to measure something rather than just read about it.
Only seven of the fourteen events publish a visitor number. Those seven alone total more than 121,000 attendees: Middle East Energy at about 35,000, Dubai Derma at over 25,000, GISEC Global at over 25,000, Seamless Middle East at over 20,000, MEIDAM at over 4,500, the Middle East Coatings Show at over 5,000, and Crypto Expo at over 7,000. The other seven, including Arabian Travel Market and the International Property Show, report no attendee count at all, so any total for the month undercounts by construction.
What you can actually measure
The events cluster geographically. DWTC shows land in Trade Centre district, Za'abeel and One Central, while GISEC and the Coatings Show pull demand toward Expo City and Dubai South instead. That split gives you a natural before and after comparison for short let and holiday home pricing in two separate submarkets during the same month, rather than one blended citywide number.
The gap between exhibitor dates and lease dates is the harder variable. A hiring event on 28 to 30 September and a housing decision that follows it will not show up in the same data window, so treating this as a leading indicator requires a lag, not a same month correlation.
