Dubai Holding Real Estate, the developer behind Nakheel, Meraas and Dubai Properties, has teamed up with Commercial Bank of Dubai to fold a mortgage directly into the purchase across its three brands. The programme covers off-plan and completed homes and is open to UAE nationals and residents, whether salaried or self-employed.
Buyers can pick conventional or Islamic financing, get digital pre-approval, and self-employed applicants face lighter paperwork. Perks include preferential rates, dedicated relationship managers and CBD Elite benefits.
The real news for off-plan buyers is timing. Those who have paid 50 percent can draw financing once a project reaches 30 percent construction, far earlier than Dubai's usual out-of-pocket payment plans. Rates were not published and approval still depends on eligibility, but for anyone comparing off-plan projects, the affordability maths just changed.
