Three numbers from one announcement are worth logging, and one is still missing.

What is in the dataset

Dubai Land Department announced two academic routes at the International Property Show, held 7 to 9 September 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre. The Real Estate Sector Diploma with the Higher Colleges of Technology is Level 4, runs 90 study hours across 2 academic years, and includes 2 blocks of field training. Spread evenly, that is about 45 classroom hours per year. The January announcement put intake at roughly 40 places.

The University of Dubai bachelor's degree covers finance, investment, valuation, regulation, property management and real estate technology. No start date has been published.

The context variable

The market side is one figure: AED 419.9 billion of property transactions in the first half of 2026. Most brokers handling that volume learned the trade on the job, plus short licensing courses.

What you can and cannot measure

You can now track cohort size, diploma completion and the degree launch date as time series, and set them against transaction value. You cannot yet compute a training ratio, because the article gives no broker headcount. Treat 40 places as a starting intake, not a rate.

First diploma classes start in autumn 2026, so the first real data point is close.
