Great post!
“ You are better off building stuff than scrolling through MDN for three hours. “

Absolutely, definitely something I wish I realised sooner!

Form my perspective it is more "while you building stuff you will end up on MDN , W3C or any documentation anyway" if you really wish to understand and find what you can or can't do.

Hey! You said that you're better off building stuff than scrolling through mdn for hours, I usually see a lot of mentions about beginner projects e.g Todo list, or number calculators etc, the thing I'm having trouble with is if I want build a Todo but I don't know how to start, and I feel like looking up where to start defeats the purpose of because it's like I'm just writing code that I see

Pretty sure this is the 100th version of this tutorial, but hey, maybe this one will actually make sense. Kudos for trying to break it down for the newbies—just don’t expect us seasoned devs to learn anything new here.

Maybe it is too "early" to continue with actual programs, if you want to create an article for beginners. You can add some examples for how to use input and output, like you can with simple HTML.

You think so? I've always found it helpful to see examples and how it can actually be used, having something to "play with" hands on. It would be really simple ones to start with, like showing input and output as you mentioned but combining them together into a simple project :)

It depends. If you keep the simple projects simple enough, it should be fine. Also it would be great to know the opinion of people actually trying to learn with it. Not sure, if this happens a lot here, but thanks for your effort and if it also makes you learn something during writing, even better.

That's my thinking as well, I guess we'll see if that approach would work though I am always open for feedback so I'll be on the lookout for that. Thank you for sharing your opinion and writing sure helps solidify the knowledge, which is always a bonus
