I know some of the devs on my prior teams don’t get it. So that’s why I included references in the article. How have you helped convince your peers that it’s worth spending the time?
My team is very small (just me as the .net dev, a web dev, and our manager) so I get to be in my own code-hunting silo most of the time, which can be nice for making those decisions without push back!
My manager loves that I maintain and delete dead code, and part of the reason is because he isn't so good about doing it himself (though he likes the idea of the practice).
