PageBolt Trial Is Now Live — What Changed and What's New

PageBolt's free trial is live.

If you've been waiting to test PageBolt without committing to a plan, now's the time. Zero friction: Stripe checkout → instant dashboard access. No manual provisioning. No waiting for approval.

Here's what changed and why.

The Problem We Fixed

The old trial flow had friction:

  1. User signs up
  2. Stripe processes payment
  3. User waits for backend provisioning
  4. Email confirmation arrives 5-10 minutes later
  5. User finally gets dashboard access

By step 5, half the users had already left.

We were losing people in the handoff between payment and activation. Not because the trial wasn't good, but because the experience was slow.

The New Flow

  1. User signs up and chooses trial
  2. Stripe processes zero-dollar trial authorization (no payment, just identity verification)
  3. Dashboard loads instantly
  4. User sees a prominent trial banner: "Your trial expires in 30 days — upgrade anytime"
  5. User starts using PageBolt immediately

Total friction: ~10 seconds.

The backend still does the provisioning work in the background, but the user gets in-front-of-tool access while that's happening. They're not blocked.

Why This Matters

Conversion happens when people experience value. Value requires the ability to try the thing.

The old flow made "trying" feel like friction. The new flow makes it feel like you're already in.

That shift is small in seconds (from 5 minutes to 10 seconds), but it's massive in psychology. The user goes from "this is taking too long, let me look at competitors" to "oh, I'm already in, let me take a screenshot" before the second thought completes.

What's New in the Trial

Free tier: 100 screenshots/PDFs per month, no credit card required.

That's enough to:

  • Add visual verification to a small agent workflow (10-15 screenshots)
  • Test visual regression on a product release (50+ screenshots)
  • Prove PageBolt works before committing budget

The 30-day window gives you time to evaluate across a full sprint or release cycle.

What We Learned

The immediate metric from the old trial:

  • Zero conversions in the first 24 hours
  • Users signed up, saw the "provisioning" message, and bounced

The metric we're watching now:

  • Dashboard activation within 30 seconds of signup
  • Active usage (screenshot/PDF calls) within 5 minutes
  • Conversion signaling (plan upgrade clicks) within 72 hours

Early signals are strong. Users who experience the product within seconds are vastly more likely to upgrade.

Who This Is For

If you're testing agent workflows — PageBolt integrates with OpenClaw, Cursor Automations, and custom MCP clients. One API key, screenshots/videos at each checkpoint.

If you're building visual regression tests — Capture baselines, run tests, catch regressions before users do.

If you're auditing AI behavior — Frame-by-frame video replay of agent sessions. Governance proof, security forensics, compliance artifact.

If you're evaluating alternatives to Puppeteer/Playwright — PageBolt is simpler (no servers), faster (no setup), and includes video recording built-in.

Getting Started

  1. Go to pagebolt.dev
  2. Click "Start Free Trial"
  3. Sign up with Google or email
  4. Instant dashboard access
  5. Grab your API key
  6. Make your first API call

100 captures/month, no credit card, no hidden charges. Trial expires in 30 days. Upgrade anytime if you want more capacity or features.

The old barrier was friction. We removed it.
