My Current Carry

With university starting soon, I’ve been seeing a lot of EDC (Everyday Carry) videos. It got me thinking about my own setup, so I decided to share My Current Carry (MCC), because honestly, I don’t carry everything every day.

Phone

The device I rely on every day is my Samsung A50. I’ve had it since 2019, and it’s still going strong! The battery isn’t what it used to be, but my power bank always has my back when it runs low while I’m on the go. I haven’t had any major issues or repairs yet, though I do hope to upgrade to a newer phone, likely another Samsung. I also have a Samsung tab a7 lite which I mostly use for reading.

Laptop

Next, my most powerful and largest device: my HP Pavilion Intel Core i5 15-inch laptop. I got it in 2021, thanks to my mom (thank you, Mom!). While I don’t do heavy tasks, I use it for light editing, gaming, music production, and even some simple machine learning models—it's survived it all. The battery life isn’t great, and I’m aware it wasn’t built for the kinds of tasks I put it through. So I usually keep it plugged in and try not to overwork it. I also use a generic wired mouse I bought years ago, though I have a wireless Logitech mouse as well.

Audio

I have three audio devices. First, my Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones—an absolute splurge, but worth it for the comfort, design, and amazing sound quality. Plus, the Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) is top-notch for headphones. For in-ear wireless, I use the Galaxy Buds FE. While they’re great, one earbud recently started getting not as loud as the other, so I’ll need to replace them eventually. Luckily, I still have my trusty wired JBL T110 in-ears as well as my headphones, so I’m not in a rush.

Bag

And last but not the least, my bag. It’s an Asus backpack that was a gift from my Aunt (Thank you, Aunty!). It’s big enough to carry my laptop and anything else I need.

So yeah, that’s My Current Carry, some of my gear is due for an upgrade but for now, everything still gets the job done. And of course, if I ever do upgrade, you’ll know.

Stay curious, and I’ll catch you next time!
