Its because they got a taste of the elitist down voting questions and answers without explaning why. Everyone using comments so they do not lose points. Stackoverflow is one of the best place in the world but the elitism is unreal
Honestly, most answers that get down-voted deserve it, at least from what I've seen (Believe it or not, bubbles are absolutely a thing on SO, and I personally browse mostly #lua). But at the end of the day, an answer getting down-voted isn't about people hating you; it's simply an indication that the answer wasn't good enough. The grown-up response would be to find out what's wrong about it. And from my experience (but again, filter bubbles) answers that aren't just completely dumb often get comments explaining what's wrong with them, if not even an edit fixing the problem if it's minor.
I agree for answers not the same can be said for questions ( they are no dumb question just lazy ppl) and especially for new users. Even duplicates are marked as duplicates, that is an explanation. Anyways glad to continue this discussion via pm if u wish. Lets not hijack thw meme day :)
