One Image Three Ratios Twenty-Seven Exports and Three Mistakes

Priya needed a set of product photos in 16:9 for the website hero, 1:1 for Instagram, and 9:16 for stories. She opened her image editor and started cropping. Two hours later she had twenty-seven images in three folders, and three of them were slightly off because she had miscounted pixels.

The problem was not the math. The problem was that she was doing the math by hand, one image at a time, while trying to remember which ratio went where.

The pain, in four layers

Pain 1: every platform wants a different shape.
Website banners want wide. Social feeds want square. Stories want tall. You do not have one image. You have one image that needs to become three images, and you are expected to remember the exact pixel dimensions for each.

Pain 2: cropping by hand is error-prone.
You drag the selection, you check the ratio, you nudge it by two pixels, you export, you open the next file. For three images this is fine. For twenty-seven it is a tax on your afternoon. And if you miscount once, the image goes live stretched or cropped wrong.

Pain 3: most tools handle one file at a time.
You crop, export, close, repeat. A batch of images means a batch of clicks. The friction is not the cropping. It is the ceremony around it.

Pain 4: online croppers want your file on their server.
You are cropping client photos, product shots, and internal screenshots. Uploading them to a free online tool means sending your files to a server you do not control. That is a privacy trade you should not have to make.

Working with the controls

The tool

OnliTools Image Aspect Ratio Changer changes images to 16:9, 1:1, 9:16, 4:3, and custom ratios directly in your browser. You select the images, pick the ratio, choose the fit mode — crop, fit, blur, or stretch — and download a ZIP. The processing stays on your device. Nothing uploads. Nothing leaves.

How it works

  1. Go to onlitools.com/image-aspect-ratio.
  2. Drag in your images.
  3. Select the target aspect ratio or enter a custom one.
  4. Choose the fit mode: crop, fit with background, blur fill, or stretch.
  5. Download the batch as a ZIP.

Why this matters

Priya now converts her product photos in under two minutes. She selects the ratio, picks the fit mode, and downloads everything at once. No miscounted pixels. No stretched images. No upload.

The result, ready to use

If you are cropping images by hand for multiple platforms, you are paying a tax on a task that should take seconds. This tool removes the tax.
