The Client Sent WebP and the Print Shop Needs JPG

Mei received a batch of images from a client — all in WebP format. Her design tool did not support them. The print shop required JPGs. She searched for a converter, found one that asked her to upload the files, and hesitated. These were unreleased product photos. She was not about to send them to a stranger's server.

WebP to JPG in the browser

The format was modern. The workflow was stuck.

The pain, in four layers

Pain 1: WebP is not universally supported.
Browsers love it. Design tools tolerate it. Print shops, older systems, and some clients do not. You have a folder of efficient, modern images that you cannot use in half your workflow.

Pain 2: most converters want your file on their server.
You are converting client assets, unreleased product shots, and internal screenshots. Uploading them to a free online tool means sending your files to a server you do not control. That is a privacy trade you should not have to make.

Pain 3: batch conversion is where the real pain lives.
One image is easy. Twenty images means twenty uploads, twenty downloads, and a folder full of image (1).jpg, image (2).jpg. The friction is not the conversion. It is the ceremony around it.

Pain 4: quality loss is invisible until it matters.
You convert the image, it looks fine on your screen, and you send it to the client. They open it on a calibrated monitor and see banding, artifacts, or color shifts. The damage is not visible to you, but it is visible to them.

Working with the controls

The tool

OnliTools WebP to JPG batch-converts WebP images to JPG directly in your browser. Drag in your files, convert, and download a ZIP. The processing stays on your device. Nothing uploads. Nothing leaves.

How it works

  1. Go to onlitools.com/webp-to-jpg.
  2. Drag in your WebP images.
  3. Convert and download the batch as a ZIP.

Why this matters

Mei now converts her client assets in minutes. She drops the files in, converts them, and downloads the ZIP. No upload. No quality loss. No privacy risk.

The result, ready to use

If you are searching for a converter that does not ask for your files, you are paying a tax on a task that should take seconds. This tool removes the tax.
