MyZubster is entering a new phase.
Over the past weeks, we have been exploring how the open-source MyZubster ecosystem could evolve into a measurable, evidence-driven environmental platform suitable for a future EU LIFE proposal.
The objective is not simply to build another environmental dashboard.
We want to connect:
real-world data → provenance → validation → measurable KPIs → evidence → pilots → replication
And this is where Zorgax enters the architecture.
From environmental data to verifiable evidence
Potential technical contributors and stakeholders can provide different pieces of the environmental data chain.
One concrete development has already occurred: Agrosistemi has expressed in writing its availability to participate in the proposed project and systematically provide data needed to implement the MyZubster database.
Other discussions, including with organisations such as HERA and academic/institutional stakeholders, are helping us understand data availability, privacy constraints, technical requirements and possible project roles.
These discussions must not be confused with confirmed partnerships: the consortium for a future LIFE proposal is still being developed.
Introducing Zorgax LIFE Automation v1
To make this data useful, MyZubster needs more than ingestion.
It needs traceability.
We have therefore designed Zorgax LIFE Automation v1, an evidence-oriented orchestration layer.

Validated / Reportable Evidence
Zorgax is not designed to replace scientists, technical experts or project governance.
Its role is to automate the repetitive and verifiable parts of the process.
What Zorgax can automate
Zorgax LIFE Automation is being designed to handle:
CSV/JSON ingestion
versioned schema validation
required-field checks
unit normalization
deterministic deduplication
provenance chains
draft evidence records
approved KPI calculations
anomaly detection
missing-context tasks
technical-review routing
scientific-review routing
audit trails
validated evidence exports
Every important transition should be traceable.

Automation also needs boundaries.
Zorgax must never:
invent missing environmental values;
fabricate baselines or KPIs;
silently modify scientific formulas;
approve scientific claims;
expose restricted partner data;
declare organisations as confirmed partners without evidence;
approve budgets or contracts;
submit a LIFE application autonomously.
The architecture follows a simple principle:

LIFE Characters
We are also representing the future project workflow through role-based MyZubster characters.
These include roles such as:
Water Data Steward
Responsible for data access, schema, privacy and provenance.
Technical Data Validator
Responsible for units, ranges, interpretation and technical anomalies.
Scientific Coordinator
Responsible for methodologies, KPI definitions and evidence quality.
Pilot Operator
Connects digital evidence with activities performed at demonstration sites.
Replication & Policy Lead
Transforms validated results into replication and policy-oriented packages.
Mediterranean Replication Partner
Tests transferability beyond the original pilot environment.
These are functional project archetypes — not fictional substitutes for real organisations or individuals.
Why this matters for LIFE
A credible environmental project needs to demonstrate more than software.
It needs to answer:
What happened?
Where did the data come from?
Can we reproduce the calculation?
Who validated it?
What changed compared with the baseline?
Can another territory reproduce the result?
Our goal is therefore to make MyZubster an infrastructure where the complete evidence chain can be inspected.
Toward LIFE 2027
Rather than forcing an immature consortium into a short deadline, we are now working toward a future LIFE 2027 opportunity, with the exact call and deadline to be confirmed when officially published.
This gives us time to build the pieces properly:

REPLICATION
The next milestone is not a presentation.
It is a working demonstration.
Zorgax LIFE Automation Phase 1 will use synthetic data to demonstrate the complete pipeline before any real partner dataset is introduced.
That means testing ingestion, provenance, anomaly detection, evidence generation and human validation without exposing confidential information.
The development is taking place publicly on GitHub.
Build in public. Validate with evidence. Automate what can be verified. Keep humans responsible for what requires judgment.
