TAZ Riccione: The Metaverse Chapter Is Complete — Now MyZubster Moves Into Real Life

The TAZ Riccione experience inside the MyZubster metaverse has been completed.

But this is not the end of TAZ Riccione.

It is a transition.

The digital experiment has reached its conclusion, while the real-world TAZ remains active in Riccione, with a simpler and more human direction.

From the metaverse to the real world

During the metaverse phase, we explored how places, digital identities, characters and the MyZubster ecosystem could interact inside a virtual environment.

Now we are moving the focus back to physical reality.

TAZ Riccione — Metaverse

Completed

TAZ Riccione — Real World

People + Community + MyZubster

The real-world version will continue without robots.

Instead, MyZubster itself will remain active and can be experienced and verified directly at TAZ Riccione.

No robots. Real people.

This next phase is deliberately more grounded.

The important elements are now:

people, friendships, local collaboration, experimentation and a working MyZubster presence.

MyZubster will continue alongside friends and collaborators connected to the real-world project, including Urban Lab and other people and organizations collaborating locally with Daniel.

This is not about simulating a community.

It is about working with an existing one.

MyZubster as the digital layer

The metaverse experiment helped us explore the visual representation of the ecosystem.

The physical TAZ gives us another opportunity:

connecting the digital infrastructure to an actual place.

Conceptually:

Real people

TAZ Riccione

Local activities

MyZubster

Verifiable digital activity

The physical location remains physical.

The relationships remain human.

MyZubster becomes the digital and open-source layer connecting some of those activities.

Why verification matters

One principle behind MyZubster is that we want to move from simply saying that something exists to making it increasingly verifiable.

That can mean verifying software publicly through GitHub.

It can mean checking that infrastructure is online.

It can mean recording activities or contributions.

And, where appropriate, it can mean connecting digital records with real-world participation while respecting privacy.

This is especially relevant as we experiment with technologies such as private geolocation attestations and NFTs, where the objective is to prove that an activity is associated with a place without automatically publishing someone's precise GPS coordinates.

The direction is:

Real activity

Verification

Privacy layer

Digital attestation

MyZubster
What happened to the metaverse?

It did its job.

The TAZ metaverse was an experiment in representing the project visually and exploring how MyZubster identities and activities could exist inside a digital world.

That chapter can now be considered completed.

We do not need to keep a virtual experiment alive indefinitely just because we built it.

Experiments should also be allowed to finish.

What we learned can move into the next iteration.

TAZ remains real

The important distinction is:

the metaverse event is complete.
The real-world TAZ is not.

TAZ Riccione remains a place where MyZubster can exist alongside real friendships, collaborators, local projects and experimentation.

Urban Lab and other collaborators are part of this real-life network.

There is no need to replace those relationships with virtual characters.

Technology should support the community rather than become the community.

A different idea of the metaverse

For us, this also changes what “metaverse” can mean.

It does not necessarily have to become an infinite virtual world where everyone spends their life wearing a headset.

Sometimes a virtual environment can simply be a laboratory.

You build something.

You experiment.

You learn.

Then you bring the useful parts back into reality.

Virtual experiment

Learning

Open-source development

Real-world implementation

Community

That is what is happening with TAZ Riccione.

The next chapter

The next chapter is deliberately less science fiction.

No robot presence is required.

Instead:

MyZubster is active.

The infrastructure can be verified.

The place is real.

The people are real.

The collaborations are real.

And development remains open.

The metaverse gave us a space to imagine the system.

TAZ Riccione now gives us a place to test what MyZubster can become in the real world.

TAZ Riccione Metaverse: completed. ✅

TAZ Riccione Real World: active. 🌍

Robots: not part of this phase.

MyZubster: active and verifiable. 👽

Community: human. 🤝
