How AviaGames Reinvents Classic Solitaire for Mobile with Solitaire Clash

Solitaire has remained one of the most recognizable card games across generations, often played on computers during quiet moments or short breaks.

Today, it has successfully transitioned to mobile platforms. Solitaire Clash , AviaGames’ flagship game, builds on the familiar Klondike format while introducing tournaments, events, and community challenges. It has also supported initiatives like Wonderland Wishes and Play for Paws, along with the Solitaire Without the Solitude video series, which highlights the community side of the game.

This evolution reflects AviaGames’ broader goal of creating accessible mobile games while connecting gameplay with real-world initiatives.

The Vision Behind Solitaire Clash

AviaGames was founded by CEO Vickie Chen with the goal of making skill-based real cash games more accessible. In an interview with Women-Led Games, she explained that many games are designed mainly for experienced players, which can make it harder for casual players to get started.

To address this, AviaGames focused on developing games that are easy to learn while still offering structured competition.

The company began as a garage startup in Mountain View, California. Since then, it has grown into an established mobile game publisher, developing and publishing its titles in-house. Today, AviaGames offers more than 15 game apps and continues to expand its player community.

Solitaire Clash stands out as the company’s flagship title. It follows the classic Klondike format, where players arrange a 52-card deck into four suit stacks in ascending order. At the same time, it introduces timed matches, tournaments, and seasonal events, with identical card layouts used to maintain fair competition.

Industry Recognition for Solitaire Clash

Solitaire Clash and other AviaGames titles have received recognition within the gaming industry.

In 2024, AviaGames earned three awards during Season 2 of the NYX Game Awards. Solitaire Clash was recognized in the Mobile Game — Multiplayer category, highlighting its ability to modernize a familiar card game while keeping gameplay clear and structured.

This recognition reflects how classic games can continue to evolve on modern platforms.

Community Initiatives Within Solitaire Clash

Solitaire Clash also serves as a platform for charity-driven initiatives, connecting player activity with real-world causes.

Wonderland Wishes: Linking Gameplay with Support

Wonderland Wishes , created in partnership with Foster Love, is one example. Hosted within Solitaire Clash, the five-week campaign generated a $136,000 donation to support children in foster care.

Players collected Wish Stars through in-game participation. For every 100 Wish Stars earned, AviaGames contributed $0.02. The campaign focused on providing items such as toys, school supplies, and care packages.

Play for Paws and Animal Welfare Support

Play for Paws is another initiative connected to Solitaire Clash, supporting the Nevada SPCA.

Through in-game participation, the campaign raised more than $222,100. The funds supported animal care programs and resources for animals waiting for adoption.

Leadership and Inclusive Growth

CEO Vickie Chen’s leadership continues to guide AviaGames’ direction, with a focus on fairness, accessibility, and community engagement. She was named a finalist for Best Female CEO of the Year at the 2025 Stevie® Women in Business ** Awards**.

AviaGames also emphasizes diversity, with women holding more than 40% of leadership roles. These values shape both game development and community initiatives.

Bringing a Classic Game into the Modern Era

Solitaire has existed for centuries, yet its adaptability keeps it relevant. Solitaire Clash shows how a traditional card game can evolve for mobile platforms.

By combining familiar gameplay with structured competition, community initiatives, and storytelling through Solitaire Without the Solitude, the game continues to appeal to both longtime players and new audiences.
