The Data Engineering Academy takes pride in presenting the transformational story of Vish, who navigated the complexities of a shifting job market to become adept in data engineering, commencing an exciting new chapter in his professional life.
Vish Success Story
Vish's journey began after a career hiatus when he made the decisive move to re-enter the field of data engineering, a sphere with a rapidly growing demand. With a four-year break behind him, and despite an unfruitful year of attempts to reintegrate, Vishs resolve never waned. His foundation in data engineering, although solid, required refinement and modernization.
The moment Vish chose the Data Engineering Academy marked a pivotal juncture in his path. It was here that he didn’t just absorb new knowledge; he applied a strategic approach to identify and bridge the skills gap critical for his career progression.
As Vish recounts, "I’ve enjoyed all their content, and especially I like to make a special mention of their SQL data modeling and system design content that’s very relevant, very data engineering focused, very relevant to the data engineering interviews, and it’s something that can’t be found anywhere else. So I highly recommend this program and would wholeheartedly recommend anybody to join this program. The team is very helpful. They work, they help you fine-tune your resume.
They provide you with like one-on-one mock interviews and coaching sessions on all aspects of data engineering interviews. It’s something that’s like, you know, I’ve greatly benefited from them, especially with the recent developments happening in data engineering around cloud-based data platforms. I’ve found their content to be very helpful and very relevant to the current data engineering process."

I would absolutely not recommend this program to anyone. I scheduled an informational call, and it was a dumpster fire. Some timid sounding lady called me and gave me that deep south charm, asking me how I was doing, and how she didn't want bother me, but she'd love it if she could take a moment of my time. Then she proceeded to psychoanalyze me like it was 1900. She asked me what sparked my interest in data engineering in some of the least fluent English I've had the misfortune of hearing in a passive aggressive whisper. Her reaction was a horrible attempt at acting surprised while she was obviously working on a behavioral checklist. Then she repeated that because of my job, I am not eligible for data engineering jobs. Then she asked me how soon I realistically expected to get started. I told her that I would be ready to start as soon as anyone told me what Data Engineering Academy had to teach me, since data engineering was a non-starter. So instead of answering the question, she went through her circle of ineligibility for data engineering roles pre-written script a third time before going off on a tangent about how cookie cutter pre-scripted traditional "schools" are. Then she proceeded to repeat her question about when I realistically expect to start with Data Engineering Academy as if I were so dumb that I had forgotten to wait for an attempt to answer my question after being disqualified from data engineering by a random lady with horrible enunciation who I met for the first time 60 seconds ago no matter how much southern charm she pretended to have. Then when I tried to explain to her that she was projecting her guilt onto any object she could think of, she said that she sent me an email with links to random free internet trainings and wished for God to bless me in my future. I've had more intelligent conversations with homeless street psychics in New Orleans than this Melanie Klown...
