Xcode DerivedData is regenerable build state, and it is not your source code.
DevCleaner 1.16.0 for macOS shows Compilation Cache, Module Cache, Symbol Cache, SDK Stat Caches, and per-project folders separately, so you can clear one cache without wiping every project. Quit Xcode first.
