ARK 2 was announced in 2020 and it's still not out. At some point I got tired of refreshing the store page and just started playing ARK 1 again — and immediately remembered why I kept quitting: the taming info scattered across ten different forums is a mess.
Half the answers are outdated, half are for a modded server, and the rest contradict each other. So I did the thing every frustrated player does and started my own notes. Those notes turned into ARK Wiki.
What's actually on it
- Dinosaur taming database — time, food, and narcotic counts for the ones people actually ask about, not just the popular few
- Crafting recipes — the full list, searchable, without the autoplay-video nonsense
- ARK 2 section — what's been confirmed from trailers and dev streams so far (base building, the new creature roster)
The part that matters
It loads fast and doesn't blast you with ads. I know that's a low bar, but for a survival game wiki it's apparently rare. Everything is organized by what you'd actually type into a search bar, not by whatever taxonomy the first editor made up.
