Ben Halpern on September 05, 2018

Our wonderful sponsors are vital to the health of dev.to and it is great to work with companies contributing so much to the ecosystem. These three...

Twilio and Qlik were no-brainer sponsors and have both been excellent to work with. Thank you for supporting the DEV Community!

DigitalOcean, welcome back. Y'all are the best :)

I know this is a commercial but because I love this community, I did take the time to learn more about the sponsors. GG.

Yay!

We're a business and we're trying to pay the bills, but we really try hard to make this all work for everyone involved.

I feel like this kind of tldr on the services folks may consider checking out is pretty useful.

Anyway, thanks for the support Jaime.

I did the same. We actually moved a lot of our apps to DigitalOcean and are working on a migration plan for the others. I'm a big fan of DO.

I understand this is commercial but it's sad that you guys in US have to pay 5 times as much as we do in Europe for the same services...

Hey Alex, I'm really excited that you use (and love using) Twilio! I'd love to know what you're using it for. Also, if there's ever anything I can help with give me a shout on connect!

Thanks for sharing that! I bet that auto assignment via SMS does make life easier if there's only a few of you working there!

As for managing conversations over SMS, Flex could handle that, but as you say, may well be overkill. I've seen success for SMS (and other channels) using Front. You can hook your Twilio number up to it and away you go.

Alternatively, it wouldn't be too much to build. I have a demo project that is the start of something you could use here: github.com/philnash/sms-messages-app

Any chance of another sponsor hackathon like the one you did with Pusher some time soon?

BTW, love DigitalOcean. I highly recommend them!
