im going to say why this one lands the way it does.
that piece exists because i kept getting refused doing security work on software i wrote
myself. my own code, my own machine, and i couldnt get a straight answer about it. so
instead of writing the complaint post i built something to measure whether the promise was
actually real. it broke before it produced a single number.
publishing that felt bad. theres no version of the thing i built didnt work that reads
well. i put it out anyway, because the alternative was quietly fixing it first and telling
you about it later once it was flattering.
what happened after is the part i still think about. somebody i have never met took it,
ran it on their own machine, checked the setup themselves instead of taking my word for
it, and the numbers matched.
its still not reproduced. one machine, one time, and most of what i asked for is still
empty. so this isnt a finish line and im not going to dress it up as one.
but getting picked for the one where it broke, in the same week i caught five wrong claims
in my own work before they shipped, is a strange and good thing and i wanted to say that
out loud instead of just saying thanks.

any idea how to add youtube video to article cover?
Hey @sarvar_04, I'm glad you asked!
First, make sure you are using the Rich + Markdown editor. If you already are you can skip to the next paragraph. If you're still using the basic markdown editor you can switch in Settings > Customization, then scroll down to Writing and select the Rich + markdown option.
Now when you go to create a new post, there should be an option to add a Cover Video Link at the top. Just paste the Youtube video URL in there.
