I also remember watching my parents play Myst... I had no idea what was going on, but I just loved the visuals, haha. I wanted to live the treehouse world called Channelwood Age.
The game you're working on now sounds cool — I can totally imagine Overcooked in an industrial setting! You could reference the original Ford factory assembly line or I Love Lucy's candy factory bit.
