Helio! I'm Ana. Happy to be here. I will be sharing some polished thoughts on here regarding Cybersecurity, Data Analysis, and Software Development. I am a first year
CSstudent and I would like to get my name out there to land a job in cybersecurity after graduating. Fun fact is I like to read serious books in very unserious voices on YouTube. Thanks for reading. Toodles.Welcome to DEV!
Welcome Ana!
Let learn together
Happy to meet same minded people. 🤩
Hi
Ciao Analetrizia 🚀 welcome to DEV!
six seven
Ana, welcome to the club!
Welcome Ana, I'm happy for you
Hey everyone!
Just joined dev.to after lurking for way too long. I'm Sergei, been writing C++ since 1999 (yes, I'm old), currently based in Belgrade, Serbia.
What I do:
Co-authored userver.tech (async C++ framework)
Boost committer
Build things that need to go fast
Have an unhealthy obsession with template metaprogramming
What I'm currently hacking on:
SlugKit - a human-readable ID generator because I got frustrated with someone's personal-organization-N code. Turns out falling down performance rabbit holes is addictive.
When not coding:
Motorcycles, sailing, freediving, and recently started learning to DJ (bedroom level, don't get excited).
Looking forward to sharing some war stories from 25+ years of making compilers cry. First article coming soon about optimising from 300µs to sub-microsecond performance.
Cheers!
amazing
Hey folks, I’m new here. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone starting out in dev?
Do a little something everyday. It doesn't have to be the same thing. One day you can code, others design, others market, network, read, chill. But just do something that helps you progress everyday in your career. Best of luck.
Start simple, maybe one single project in react, flutter and not try to learn everything
That's a great tip .what kind of projects would you recommend for a beginner in react?any specific ideas or resources
I think you can start with something simple, but which resolve an issue maybe... a show tracker like trakt which save everything in the browser indexedDB?
A simple todolist, maybe kanban board in react always with drag and drop
Welcome. Code don't just read articles, watch tutorials, code.
Hi! It depends on your goals... What would you like to do? maybe making games or creating websites... or... there are a lot of options, If you want, I can call you or retall my personal way how I chose my way. there were a lot of mistakes :) where are you from tho?
consistency!
Hello everyone! 👋
My name is Akash and I'm joining this community from the beautiful city of Pune, India. 🇮🇳
I've been immersed in the world of web and app development for over 11 years now. What started as a passion has been an incredible journey of continuous learning and building.
I'm excited to be here among fellow developers and hashnode enthusiasts. Recently, I channeled my experience into a hobby project that grew from a simple need into a full-fledged toolset. It's called DevUtilX (devutilx.com) a free, online toolkit for developers with 100+ handy utilities for things like code formatting, conversion, and validation.
As the person behind it, I wear many hats, from founder to developer to chief enthusiast! I'm really looking forward to learning from all of you, contributing to discussions where I can, and understanding how we can build better things, together.
Feel free to say hello or ask me anything! Happy to be here. 🚀
Hi Akash - Wonderful achievements. Keep in touch! Thanks, Shuv
Hi everyone
I'm Chris,
I'm a front-end developer, artist, and graphic designer
Welcome to DEV!
Welcome
Hey, I'm a high-school student very close to graduating. I know a bit about low-level coding and cybersecurity and I can't wait to learn more about algorithms because my code is slower than internet explorer, not to mention a bit of everything else. recently, i made a small custom operating system because one of my friends told me i couldn't, so, yeah, thanks for reading
Hi everyone! 👋
My name is Emilio, a Senior Software Engineer from Santiago, Chile with over 20 years of experience in backend and system architecture.
After a long career building complex systems for others, I've decided to start my most ambitious personal journey yet: learning real-time 3D graphics (Blender & Three.js) and building a complex interactive project from scratch. I've just launched my personal blog at emilioacevedo.dev to document the entire process—the good, the bad, and the buggy.
A fun fact about me: I believe the best way to stay young in tech is to always be a junior at something new.
Excited to be part of this community and learn from all of you!
Welcome to the community, Emilio. I agree - the more I learn, the more I realize the power of feeling like a junior in certain aspects.
Excited to see you around.
Thanks so much, Chris! Glad to hear that resonates with you. It's a humbling but exciting feeling for sure.
Happy to be here!
Also I checked out your website - very cool vibe haha.
Hey everyone! I'm B, a final year undergrad in cse. This is me attempting to retrace my love for tech, and build my critical thinking via code. I'm going to log my attempt at programming problems here, and any suggestions/feedback are welcome!
welcome
👋 Hey everyone!
I'm an indie maker working on Volixta, a growing suite of WordPress plugins built for professionals.
Our main one, Volixta Booking, is an all-in-one system that handles staff, clients, payments, and scheduling — no extra addons needed.
I also maintain Volixta SSL & Security Headers, a free plugin that helps fix SSL and mixed content issues and adds modern security headers automatically.
If anyone here enjoys testing new WordPress tools, I’d love your feedback on it — especially from other devs or site owners. 😊
I’m always up for chats about WordPress performance, security, or plugin architecture.
Looking forward to connecting with you all! 🚀
Welcome! I’m new to DEV.to as well.
Thanks! Welcome to Dev.to too 👋
Hey there! I'm Saleh. Thrilled to be connecting and learning from all of you. My world revolves around the
MERN stack, specifically mastering the art of connecting beautiful React frontends to robust MongoDB backends. You can expect content from me about asynchronous programming, deployment strategies, and clean code principles. I'm currently focused on turning my academic knowledge into real-world projects to secure a fantastic development job. P.S. Don't be surprised if my next post is an oddly voiced review of an advanced technical paper. Toodles.Ciao a tutti! I'm thrilled to join this amazing community of developers and tech enthusiasts.
Who Am I?
I'm an Environmental and Territorial Engineer with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering, but my journey has taken me far beyond traditional engineering paths. I like to think of myself as a bridge-builder between technical disciplines and real-world impact.
What Drives Me
I'm passionate about exploring how digital technologies can solve concrete problems across different domains. My toolkit includes Python, GIS, and generative AI platforms, which I use for data analysis and process automation. But I'm not a programming specialist—I'm an eternal curious mind who sees coding as a means to an end, not the end itself.
My Research Journey
My work spans diverse fields, reflecting my belief that technology should serve both technical excellence and social progress:
Beyond Code: Civic Engagement
In 2020, I founded the National Initiative for the Protection of University Caregivers, a project close to my heart. This civic engagement initiative involved 13 universities and contributed to the approval of the Sardinian Regional Law on family caregivers. It taught me that technology and data can be powerful tools for social change.
My First VS Code Extension
Recently, I challenged myself to step outside my comfort zone and developed my first VS Code extension: Smart Conda Terminal.
It's a tool born from a real need in my daily workflow—managing Conda environments more efficiently directly from VS Code. As someone who's not a professional developer, this project represents my approach to problem-solving: identify a friction point, experiment with solutions, and learn along the way.
I'd love to hear your feedback! Is the approach valid? Could it be useful to others? As an enthusiast rather than a specialist, I'm here to learn from the community's experience and improve.
Why I'm Here
I'm joining Dev.to to:
I may not write the most elegant code, but I find creative ways to make technology work for the problems I care about. Looking forward to exchanging ideas, learning from your experiences, and contributing what I can!
Let's connect! 🚀
Hello @antoniodem 👋, Great work. Keep it up.
Aloha! I’m Brandon from Honolulu, HI.
I spent 14 months building AgentSystems because I couldn’t find a real way to run other people’s agents on my own machines without giving up control. Now I’m focused on a zero-trust, open-source path: keys only at runtime, default-deny egress, and hash-chained audit logs - so agents come to your data, not the other way around.
Previously I was CEO/co-founder at AreaMetrics (acquired by Point Inside) and later EVP there; earlier in my career I worked at Booz Allen.
I’m here to learn from security, MLOps, and builder folks as we grow an open agent ecosystem.
Fun fact: when I’m not shipping code, I make glass art and chase new stamps in my passport. 👋
Cool video Brandon. Excited to see what you do with Agent Systems.
Thanks, Chris. More to come!
Hi, I’m Jasec! I’m new to the tech industry and just starting my journey as a developer. I want to thank this community in advance for all the knowledge and support—I’m excited to learn, grow, and hopefully add value along the way!
Jasec - kudos to you for entering the work of development. My best piece of advice: never worry about what you don't know because there is always more to learn. Focus on the problem in front of you, continuing to grow, and having a positive attitude and people will love working with you.
Cheers to you.
Chris thank you for the advice, I appreciate it!
Hello, Kate here. Joined few seconds ago. I'm looking for a place where to share some open source projects and hopefully find some like-minded contributors. Right now I'm messing around with:

Excited to connect and share ideas with you all! 🚀
Hello, people! I'm excited and happy to be a part of this constantly growing community, hope we all accomplish new things everyday! I don't know much right now, but, I'm tryna learn C as my first language (I know, I know it's like a suicide mission) but I wanna get the hard thing done as much as I can and then lay myself onto the easy tasks (or easier). I don't study any computer science or coding or anything even related to it (except it being a 'language' -being a translator-). Nice to be a part of this community once again!

Hey everyone,
I am a new member of the Dev community. I’ve been prototyping an Android app idea that I think has strong potential, and I’m looking for like-minded developers/designers who’d be interested in collaborating to take it further.
I’m still in the early stages of growing my Android development skills, so while I’ve started laying the groundwork, I’d love to team up with people who bring more experience in Android, backend, or UI/UX. The vision is to build something practical, user-friendly, and scalable.
If you’re passionate about creating impactful apps and enjoy the startup-style challenge of building from scratch, let’s connect! I’d be happy to share more details and see if our goals align.
Note: Anyone joining should be comfortable working with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, since the project is being built entirely with those.

Hey everyone, my name is Tayeb, i'm a software engineer from France, and I'm basically the guy who gets way too excited about login forms.
I specialize in authentication and authorization (OAuth2, OIDC, all that jazz), mainly in javascript ecosystem and i'm planning to write some articles here to clear up some of the classic auth headaches, as i feel like auth documentation, protocols and RFCs are sometimes written by robots for other robots
I believe that the best way to master a subject is to teach it, writing articles forces you to deep dive into concepts, understand complex ideas to be able to simplify them, and grow from community feedback, so my goal is to gain exprtise in this field, while sharing my knowledge and experiences with everyone.
It's awesome to be here, can't wait to geek out about this stuff with you all, let's connect
Hey everyone! Wanted to join dev.to to start writing articles about all the small things I'm learning as I get into game dev and game programming. So here I am!
Would love to talk and connect with like minded people!

I'm new to IT, have tried a couple certification courses... tend to find myself deep in an explanation of what's going on behind a protocol when I'm just supposed to be learning how to use it in an IT office setting. I love the rabbit holes and burrowing down into why any hardware or protocol was developed and who and mostly why - I guess there's a reason I was a history major... may continue with IT certification to get a job to support my browsing who developed what and why.
Interesting fact: I have 5 kids and love watching the youngest play baseball. Three of them do great in school, one has to work really hard to do not-very-well, and the 5th could care less about how he does (but I think will do much better with his college baseball coaches following every grade he gets from Week 1 of freshman year)...
Hi everyone! 👋
I’m Deniz and while I’m not a developer myself, I’ve been working in the software world since 2017, so I’m very familiar with developer culture. I even get the memes! 😄
I’m here to share thoughts on no-code automation, workflow automation, iPaaS, and embedded iPaaS but from the perspective of someone who approaches it as an outsider. I hope to provide some out-of-the-box ideas and spark discussions that might be a little different from the usual dev-focused angle.
Looking forward to learning from you all and sharing ideas!
Outside of work, I adore exploring ancient cities. This summer, I took a photo of the monumental tomb of Diodoros Pasparos in Ancient Pergamon, which I’m excited to share. Fighting roosters were bred back then, and one was placed on this tomb as a symbol of victory. I hope we can all find victory in our own journeys. Whether in coding, creating, or exploring new ideas.

Welcome, Deniz! 👋
I love that perspective — it’s always refreshing to hear from people who bridge the tech and no-code worlds.
And that story about the Pergamon tomb is fascinating. Victory in our own journeys — well said. 💪
Hey, everyone! I’m Shiney and I couldn’t be more excited to be here with all of you! , I am an IT Engineer with 13+ years of experience. I've gathered a treasure trove of experiences and insights. Hi everyone! Nice to meet you!
I’m a developer who enjoys writing about key topics that are crucial in our everyday work.
But instead of writing technical tutorials (there are already thousands out there), I focus on the why behind the concepts. My goal is to explain things in a simple and human way, based on my own experiences and lessons learned along the way.
Hi everyone! I'm excited to be here. I'm currently learning frontend development and working on cool projects like tab components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Hi! I’m kernelpanic / nick! I’m a sophomore in highschool and im very into all types of coding! I’m currently working on my first and most ambitious project, DrillFlow, the open-source alternative to UDBapp. Very excited to be here!
Hey all,
AI has fundamentally shifted how we build, work and play. These changes are only the beginning and I'm diving in head first into exploring and building against these trends.
Making things is my jam and I'm always building something whether it's software or hands on. I've spent much of my career running engineering and data teams at Venture Capital firms - BOND and Kleiner Perkins.
Always shipping. Always learning. Always in search of a community of builders. Let's connect if you're exploring AI × building product.
I've been launching a few free projects lately. Check them out:
Nanna Banana (nannabanana.ai): a silly project that adds a grandmotherly touch to all of your Nano Banana image generations
runCLAUDErun (runclauderun.com): a scheduler for Claude Code because it doesn't have one (macOS)
I'm also in pursuit of AI optimizing all of the ways I work, so lately I've been building a way to get Voice Memos to get transcribed and dumped into my daily notes, or to take actions using Claude Code. Think of it like a programmable Siri. Lmk if this peaks anyone's interest!
Hi everyone
I’m Muhammed from Stuttgart (Germany), working in the field of computer vision and robotics.
I recently showcased our prototype TEMAS at an AI conference (KI Palooza) and now we’re on the road to Kickstarter – building a modular 3D sensor platform (RGB + LiDAR + ToF, calibrated & synchronized).
Excited to learn from this community and share some of our journey here.
Fun fact: I started as a software guy but now spend more time tinkering with sensors and Raspberry Pi setups

Hello Techies. I’m Ntombi from South Africa. I’m currently studying Software Development, and I joined this group to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from others, and stay updated on the latest tech trends that I can apply to strengthen my knowledge and skills in tech.
Hi, I’m Labish Bardiya, a builder who believes the best way to learn tech is to break things and then write about what went wrong (and right).
I’m currently a B.Tech student, exploring how code turns ideas into systems that actually work.
I’ve built a wearable that tracks bruxism and somehow walked away with a Special Jury Award. These days I tinker with AI, ML, Python, and C++, and occasionally contribute to open source projects that make developer life easier.
Here on dev.to, I’m sharing projects, ideas, and the lessons hiding between the bugs, and occasionally whispering about what philosophy and astronomy can teach us to build better projects, think deeper, and find patterns where others see chaos. (🤫 Yeah, it can be done… wait for it!!)
You can find me on Github or connect with me on LinkedIn.
Hi, I'm joining the group to offer help/advice to anyone wanting to improve the chances the business teams will understand and pay attention to a message, bug, feature suggestion, or anything else you want to communicate.

Hello everyone!. I'm Gianfranco I am not so young. I am 50 years old, I have had experience in different fields... I was a student military pilot, then I embarked on a career as a voiceover actor (which is my official profession) but I have always had a great interest in computer science and scientific subjects. Today, even if late, I have decided to devote my free time to learning what I have always put aside in my life. My goal is to learn what I need to be able to help the open source community, even if only a little. I hope to find friends and above all guides to inspire me to improve. Thank you all...PS Sorry for my english, google help me:)

I'm also open to connect for opportunities (internships, full time, freelancing, building startups, you name it).
Lastly… Glory to Latveria, and Glory to Doom!
Hey there, I'm David. I've been a software developer for 7 years and a HS teacher for 8 years before that. Most of my professional experience has been in Typescript, with most of my college experience in C++. I'm looking to get Python and C++ certifications, and I'm glad to find a community of developers to share ideas with.
Hello everyone! I’m a first-year B.Tech CSE student at JECRC University, currently serving as a campus ambassador for the JIC Incubation Centre. I’ve contributed to organizing the BID2CODE hackathon and Makerspace robotics projects, and enjoy building beginner-friendly web apps and exploring AI-ML. Recently, I led outreach efforts for campus tech events and worked on Arduino-based robotics solutions. Always up for collaborating on coding projects, startup ideas, or anything that empowers the student tech community.
Hi Ayush, Happy to connect!
Hello fam! I'm Asutosh. I have been working on JavaScript frameworks and C++ for a year now as a junior developer. Hoping to land another job soon 🤞
Currently I am exploring .NET + React and I'll share here whatever I try, whatever bugs I run into and whatever I get to know. Hoping to learn a lot from you guys!
Thanks!
Hey Dev community! I’m Mauli, an MCA student and full-time cloud/DevOps enthusiast (part-time Tea addict ☕). Currently taming the beasts called AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Fun fact: I love building small projects that solve everyday problems—basically trying to be a wizard in my free time 🪄. Excited to learn, share, and connect with fellow humans who also talk to computers for fun!
Hi! I'm here because I have forever been stuck in tutorial hell. I work on projects then get stuck on something and can't find a way to progress. Meaning, I'll be stuck on that for a week to a month until I give up out of complete frustration at that point.
My goal is to set up a working simple web app with login with Keycloak and I know I'm going to get it working some day. I have a ton of free time suddenly so I plan to use the next few weeks to really dive into react and keycloak so I can finally get a working mvp.
Hey! Denis here.
Engineering manager, 15+ years in IT. Now managing distributed teams.
I write about AI in production, software quality trends, hiring systems, and team management – what's actually happening in the industry vs what the marketing tells you.
Real data, uncomfortable truths, no vendor BS.
Hey everyone, I am a full stack engineer with 10+ years of experience that is just starting out working on a SaaS as a side project. Currently learning marketing/SEO. I also try to run a newsletter bi-weekly for those interested.
Ciao a tutti! My name is Antonio and I'm joining this amazing community from Sardinia, Italy. 🇮🇹
I'm an Environmental and Territorial Engineer specializing in Geotechnical Engineering, but my true passion lies in exploring how digital technologies can solve real-world problems. I use Python, GIS, and generative AI for data analysis and automation, though I define myself as an eternal curious mind rather than a programming specialist.
My work spans diverse fields—from airport noise modeling and income distribution studies to food quality analysis and civic engagement projects. In 2020, I founded the National Initiative for the Protection of University Caregivers, which contributed to the approval of a regional law in Sardinia.
Recently, I challenged myself to create my first VS Code extension: Smart Conda Workspace—a tool born from my daily need to manage Conda environments more efficiently. As someone who solves problems through digital experimentation rather than formal computer science training, I'm excited to share this project and learn from the community's experience.
I'm here to connect with fellow developers, share experiences combining engineering with tech, and understand how we can use technology consciously for both technical and social progress.
Feel free to say hello or share your thoughts on my extension! Happy to be here. 🚀
Hey everyone
I’m Alberto, full-stack web developer from Italy 🇮🇹.
I’ve been working for many years in a web agency, mainly focusing on creative front-end development. I love building pixel-perfect websites from Figma designs and bringing them to life with SCSS, JavaScript, and GSAP animations.
I also enjoy working with back-end tools like Shopify Liquid and Twig, so I get to touch both sides of the stack.
Excited to learn from this community, share my journey, and connect with other devs here.
Hi everyone - my name is Chris - I have been coding since I was a kid. I have over 12+ year of professional experience as a FE developer and Tech Director and about 3 years working independently. I love helping other developers grow but until now haven't been very active online. You can check out some of my recent projects on superstarangel.com - I've been using Next.js/Vercel/Contentful stack pretty often lately and I love it. I look forward to meeting other developers and learning some new things.
Hello everyone! I'm Kazuma from Japan.
I've been working as a software engineer for 10+ years.
I'm here to read your great articles and share some thoughts about frontend, backend, development, and AI.
You can learn about me here: github.com/tetratensor/CV
CHEERS!!!
Yoo, just nuked my LinkedIn—hate that capitalism-fueled machine and its toxic, useless echo chamber. Switched to Dev.to, Forem, and the X crew instead.
Feels like there's way more room here to learn, build wild shit, and actually share without the BS.
5+ years as a fullstack blockchain engineer, and I've yet to touch a project that doesn't straight-up steal another dev's soul to ship.
Keep grinding, real ones—let's make magic.

Hi ,
I am a Full Stack AI Developer focused on maximizing my earning potential.
In this era of AI, I firmly believe that if you are doing everything manually, you are wasting time. I am new to the strategic side of the business and need guidance to avoid costly professional mistakes.
Do you have a smart, non-obvious way to rapidly gain high-quality skills and build a portfolio of impactful projects by fully leveraging AI and AI tools?
I truly respect your time and expertise and would appreciate any brief insight you can offer.
