I am the CTO of DialPhone. I am about to tell you when you should NOT choose us. This is not reverse psychology. This is honesty that I wish every vendor practised.
Do Not Choose DialPhone If:
1. You Have More Than 500 Users
DialPhone is built for 5-200 user businesses. We are excellent in that range. At 500+ users, you need a provider with dedicated enterprise infrastructure, custom SLAs, and a named technical account manager who knows your architecture intimately.
Choose instead: RingCentral or Microsoft Teams Phone for 500+ users. They have the enterprise machinery that we deliberately chose not to build.
2. You Need PSTN Coverage in 20+ Countries
DialPhone focuses on UK, Ireland, and selected European countries. If your business needs local phone numbers in Thailand, Brazil, and Nigeria simultaneously — you need a provider with global PSTN reach.
Choose instead: 8x8 (strongest international coverage) or Vonage (extensive global number inventory).
3. You Need a Contact Centre With 100+ Agents
DialPhone includes contact centre features (queues, skills routing, wallboards) that work well up to 50-80 agents. Beyond that, you need dedicated CCaaS infrastructure with workforce management, predictive dialling, and quality management modules.
Choose instead: Five9, Genesys, or NICE inContact for large contact centres.
4. You Are Already Fully Invested in Microsoft Teams
If your entire company lives in Teams — chat, video, file sharing, calendar — adding DialPhone as a separate phone system creates tool fragmentation. Your users would have two apps instead of one.
Choose instead: Microsoft Teams Phone. Yes, call quality is slightly lower (MOS 3.9 vs our 4.3), but the integration benefit outweighs the quality difference for Teams-centric organisations.
5. You Need the Absolute Cheapest Option
DialPhone is £24/user/month with everything included. If you need basic calling at the lowest possible price and do not care about recording, video, CRM integration, or mobile app quality — cheaper options exist.
Choose instead: Zoom Phone (£12/user) or a basic SIP trunk + softphone setup.
Do Choose DialPhone If:
| Scenario | Why DialPhone |
|---|---|
| 5-200 users, UK-focused | Our sweet spot |
| Call quality is top priority | 4.3 MOS average |

| Mobile app must be reliable | 97% notification success |
| You value fast support | 3-minute average response |

Why I Am Writing This
Because every vendor claims to be the best for everyone. Nobody is. We are the best for a specific type of business — UK SMBs who want reliability, simplicity, and honest pricing.
If you are that business, try DialPhone. 30-day free trial. No credit card.
If you are not that business, I have just saved you the trial and pointed you to the right alternative. That is more valuable than a sales pitch.
