Suggestion: Allow Editable or Dynamic Slugs for Articles

Hi DEV team,

I’ve been enjoying the platform and appreciate the efforts you put into making it a great space for developers. However, I came across an issue that I believe could improve the user experience:

The Issue
Currently, when you edit an article's title, the URL slug remains tied to the original title. This causes a mismatch between the URL and the content, which can:

1.Confuse readers who expect the URL to reflect the article's topic.
2.Negatively affect SEO performance, as search engines may interpret the URL as misleading.
3.Cause issues when sharing links across platforms, especially when the topic is unrelated to the slug.

Suggested Solutions
1.Editable Slugs: Allow users to manually update the slug.
2.Dynamic Slugs: Automatically update the slug when the article title changes.
3.Redirection System: Ensure old links redirect to the updated slug to prevent broken links.

Why It Matters
1.Improves professionalism and trust.
2.Enhances SEO.
3.Helps users share articles more confidently, knowing the link matches the content.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this and whether it’s on the roadmap!
Thanks for all the great work! 😊
