I learned not to give a fuck about the negativity and to be consistent, no matter how hard things got. I learned to laugh at my own mishaps (seriously, I could fill a stand-up routine with them 😂) and, most importantly, to keep building even when the world seemed against me. I learned to believe—in God, in myself, and in the hope that one day my parents will be proud of the path I chose.

That right there is the attitude of someone who will always continue to achieve. Bravo! I feel the pride you have in your achievements so far. I don't know you at all, and your writing makes me proud of you...

Thank you so much for your kind words Mike. I'm not that proud of myself yet but I do have the belief that I do belong in this field, and I can achieve my dreams if I'm consistent and just diligently work to better myself.

As a Mechanical Engineering student from a Tier 3 college myself, I can relate to your journey. I left mechanical engineering to pursue web development, learned PHP, and became a WordPress developer. I am now a successful freelancer. Looking back, I don't even recall why I chose mechanical engineering instead of Computer Science. The future is indeed uncertain.

Yup, uncertainty is the only thing which is certain nowadays.
May I just say that I'm proud of you. Like you'd a completely different branch, and still you were brave enough to persue another path, and then you even succeeded in it.
