What, no Vim!
Plugins: emmet, nerdtree, and a bunch of language-specific add ons
Pros: lets you feel like a real hacker and one with the code
Cons: It's vim -- meaning you need an MIT degree to remember how to move around the file, type, close, etc

As a modder with ADHD and fomo, no editor is ever "set up" with the amount of great themes and plugins out there :-D

Kidding aside, this is a great write up and good list / comparison of editors!

Thank you Drew, so glad you like it! I'd realized toward the end of my writing process that I had missed a really well-loved option with VIM. I really appreciate you contributing VIM's pros and cons to make up for it - that makes it #11 on this list!
