New Feature: Hackathon Judging Made Easier with External Judges

We are excited to introduce the new feature External Judges, an updated version of the previous manual judging feature, now available in the Organizer Dashboard.

External Judges gives you a structured way to invite judges, define clear evaluation rules, and review BUIDL submissions directly on the platform. It helps you combine human expertise with structured scoring for a clearer and more efficient judging process. At the same time, AI reviews are also available for judges’ reference.

What you can do with External Judges

  • Define custom judging categories and maximum scores
  • Add explanations to align judges on evaluation criteria
  • Enable written commentary for qualitative feedback
  • Invite external judges securely via email links
  • Review results alongside AI Judge scores in Winner Assignment

How it works

1. Set up Judging Rules: Navigate to Organizer Dashboard > Judging > External Judges. Define your categories, score limits, and explanations.

2. Invite Your Panel: Set a deadline and simply enter judge email addresses. The system handles the rest.

3. Seamless Reviewing: Judges access a dedicated portal with a split-view interface, allowing them to review BUIDL details and input scores simultaneously.

4. Assign Winners: Once judging ends, view a detailed breakdown of scores in Winner Assignment to make data-driven decisions.

External Judges is now live.

Visit dashboard.dorahacks.io to manage your hackathon with External Judges.

Happy BUIDLing!
