Help me build Shimmer

Following up my post on Inbox Zero

Still haven't found, what I'm looking for

I'm on a seemingly never ending journey in search for a perfect mail client. I've been through things like Airmail and Spark, but they were all lacking a certain thing and as they all are proprietary, I can do nothing about that.

Besides this

I've just uploaded a document draft into a github repo about a modern-era, platform-independent, open source, shiny new mail client I called "Shimmer" for the moment and I want everybody, who still loves e-mail like me to take part in its design and development process.

  • Please take part in the discussion. Open up issues in the repository to discuss about certain aspects of the document. Give me your two cents
  • Please raise a hand if you would like to take part in the development process. I don't want to do this alone. I need clever minds for this. Please state what part of the architecture you're interested in
  • Please share this article and the repo if you got other peers, who might be interested in it

Let's make this a big community effort.

Thank you very much.
