The cross-app OTP boundary point stood out to me — dialogs that escape your app's process context aren't just an Appium reliability problem, they're one of the harder surfaces to reason about from a security review standpoint too. When we tried applying static taint analysis to mobile flows, the moment execution left our process (to the SMS client, to a biometric prompt), the analysis had to either trust the boundary or abandon the trace entirely. The Drizz approach of asserting "OTP screen rendered" visually sidesteps the selector instability problem, but it also means you're validating presentation rather than the integrity of the challenge-response — which is fine for functional QA, but worth keeping distinct when the same flow is in scope for a security review.
