Hey devs, makers, and curious folks!
After months of designing, tweaking, and crying into my keyboard, Iβve finally launched something Iβve been quietly building on the side:
π RedNote
Itβs a mobile-first platform for visual discovery, where people share what theyβre using, loving, buying, building β and why. Think of it as a space between Instagram and product hunt, but powered by community recommendations and taste.
π‘ Why I built it
I noticed that people (myself included) often ask questions like:
βWhat app are you using for this?β
βWhereβd you get that hoodie?β
βWhich AI tool do you actually use every day?β
βAnyone got a rec for a nice productivity setup?β
But the answers are scattered across Twitter threads, comment sections, and half-dead forums.
So I thought: What if there was one clean, aesthetic space where people could share & find cool stuff, all organized by category, vibe, or interest?
Thatβs what RedNote is meant to be.
π What you can do:
Share a photo of something you like (a product, app, tool, idea)
Add a short note explaining why it matters to you
Tag it with relevant categories or moods
Explore what others are sharing β from indie dev tools to coffee gear to wellness apps
Save what inspires you for later (private or public bookmarks)
π§ Still early, but live!
The current version is 100% free, no login required to explore.
You can submit a note directly from your phone β we made it as light and fast as possible.
Weβre planning:
Community profiles & follow system
Custom feeds by interest (like βtech stuffβ or βcreator toolsβ)
More tags, search filters, and a better mobile experience
π¬ Would love your feedback

Iβd really appreciate your honest thoughts β UI, UX, what feels missing, or even just βthis is cool!β
