Day 1263 : The Package

liner notes:

  • Saturday : Pretty normal Saturday, which is a good thing. Got to the station earlier than normal to set up. Did some coding on a side project and started the show when it was time. Afterwards, while get the recording ready for the podcast, I watched OutKast, Salt-N-Pepa and other artists get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Amazing to see. The recording of this week's show is at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com

A photo features a small, 3D-printed keychain in a deep blue plastic, designed to look like a miniature version of a bottle cap or jar lid with ruffled edges. A silver metal carabiner clip and key ring are attached to the side of the plastic piece. The object is resting on a white or light-colored surface and is framed by black bars with prominent yellow text reading

  • Sunday : Got back to doing my study sessions at https://untilit.works after a couple of weeks due to things out of my control. Felt good. Got a bunch of stuff done, but it's never as much as I wanted. haha.

  • Professional : Back to work after a week off. Spent most of the day catching up by watching recordings of meetings, I responded to some community questions. Had a meeting with my manager to plan out the rest of the week. Spent the rest of the day working on some projects. I've been using GitHub Codespaces a lot recently.

  • Personal : So.... I took the week off. It was a pretty productive. I created some starter web applications that I want to use in my business. I also fixed an application I created before the radio show and tested it out on Saturday and it worked great! I cleaned up the workshop and got a bunch of boxes into the recycle bin. I also set up some shelves and filled them with equipment and filament. I did get some rest as well. Watched a bunch of anime and a couple of movies.

A spectacular view of the Himalayan mountain range, dominated by the towering, snow-capped peak of Mount Everest rising into a partially cloudy blue sky. The foreground and lower slopes consist of rugged, desolate brown hills and valleys, contrasting sharply with the immense, white glacial peaks in the distance. The overall scene conveys a powerful sense of scale and remote, high-altitude grandeur. The setting appears to be the Himalayas, Tibet/Nepal.

I have no clue what my mental block is in setting up this machine I've been excited to use ever since the package was delivered. I have a bunch of ideas and prototypes that I want to use it for. I got it up on the shelf and just need to set it up. Not sure why I haven't yet though, haha. It's already dark outside so I won't do it tonight, but I'll do it tomorrow. Tonight, I want to continue working on my web applications for my business and also go through tracks for the radio show. I used AI to generate the sample applications and now I'm implementing it into the framework I created before that has authentication functionality with Firebase. I want to get adding clients to Firestore working tonight. It's also getting kind of cold which doesn't make me want to work at night. haha I'm out to eat dinner and get to work before it gets too dark and cold and I fall asleep.

Have a great night!

peace piece
