liner notes:
Professional : Had no meetings today so I was able to focus on this project that I've been working on. Of course I ran into some weird errors. My code was working one second, nothing changed and I uploaded another file and things break. Turns out that on a Mac, if you right click a folder and compress it into a zip file, you will get a different zip file than if you selected the files in the folder and then compress. The folder zipped option actually creates a folder in the zip file and the files zipped are just the files at the root of the zip file. I got confused because when you unzip either files, you get the a folder with the contents in it. The code I was writing was looking for a package.json in the root of the zip file. When I realized the issue, I had the code to look for a folder inside of the zip folder and then to copy the content of the folder into the root. Ran into another issue because MacOS will also add a hidden folder named __MACOSX or something and my code was looking for the package.json in that folder. Had to add a filter to my code to make it work. In the end, I got it working and tomorrow morning, I'm going to refine the steps and make sure that the process works all the way through.
Personal : Got a call from the artist that I did the vinyl limited edition with and they wanted to see if I could 3D print a prop they want to use for an upcoming video. Good news is that I am able to create it and I had the filament colors that would be needed. There's a part that I'll need to order online, but it will be coming in tomorrow morning. Also last night, I went back to working on a project in the Antigravity IDE. I was still getting hit with a Quota Exceeded error on trying to generate a mockup of a design even though it was a full day since I last saw that error and I hadn't generated any images at all in Antigravity. Even if it was a daily quota issue, I have Google AI Pro and my limit is supposed to refresh every 5 hours. I spent a lot of time trying to make it work. I had to send a Tweet at the Antigravity team because they don't have a form or anything on their website to contact them.
I've been watching a bunch of videos on AI smart glasses from different manufacturers. I even joined some Discord channels to see if there are any updates. There are different features of each that I want to test out. I'm looking to see if I can build some WebXR and WebAI applications. I'm pretty sure that I could start building web applications that will work in the Galaxy XR headsets, but they are expensive and I'm trying to see when these other glasses that also support Android XR will be coming out. I don't know. I did see they offer a payment plan for the Galaxy XRs though. haha. Can't think about it now. I've got projects to work on. I'm going to modify the 3D model I made and printed since the one magnet that AI said would be strong enough to hold up the model failed. I also want to go through some tracks for the radio show. Going to see if Antigravity is working now and try to do some coding. We'll see. Going to eat dinner first.
Have a great night!
peace piece
