Day 1284 : Numb

liner notes:

  • Professional : Today somehow went by fast and at the same time painfully slow. haha Had a couple of team meetings and it was good to see everyone. I responded to a couple of questions. Sent out some follow-ups, then I went to coding on my current project. I think that's when time slowed down to a crawl. haha My brain went numb fixing a coding error, do a Git pull to make sure I don't have any conflicts, push my code changes, upload a sample zip file that then kicks of a GitHub Actions workflow I made, if everything worked, then open the folder the GitHub Actions created and then click a link that will open up Codespaces, and then wait for the Codespaces to load up fully, then enter in some credentials in a terminal script I wrote so I can get a server running on a port that needs to be public. If any part of that chain breaks, I have to redo it all over again. haha.

  • Personal : So last night, I picked what I'm going to buy on Bandcamp this week and started the social media posts. I also started working on tracks for the radio show and looking up social media accounts of the artists I'll be playing. I decided to pick up the Samsung Galaxy XR headset so that I can start working on the WebXR and WebAI projects that I want to build for next year. I haven't heard back from the folks that have some glasses about a general release date for next year. Samsung had a 0% payment plan and some extras so I decided to make the purchase and it's supposed to be here pretty soon. I also ordered some prescription lenses. I watched a bunch of videos and decided that it would be good to have a portable bluetooth keyboard that can fold up so I can travel with it. My plan is to do a bunch of coding on WebXR x WebAI projects in the headset so I'll need to do a lot of typing and I don't know how that would work with a virtual keyboard. The keyboard seems pretty good from the reviews I've read and watched. The keys are actually backlit which is cool if I ever need to code on long flights. Plus, I could use it for my foldable phones, because I'm pretty terrible at typing on the screen haha.

A close-up view of a thin, high waterfall plunging straight down from a narrow opening above into a small pool below. The waterfall is framed by the steep, dark, moist walls of a rocky gorge or canyon, covered in patches of vibrant green moss and ferns. A small evergreen tree is visible in the bottom right corner, emphasizing the secluded, natural environment. The location is Punchbowl Falls, AB, Canada.

The plan is to buy the albums on Bandcamp and put together the social media posts. Also put together the starter tracks for the radio show since I have the tracks that people vote on set from the massive push I did during the Thanksgiving break. Shouts to past Dwane! haha I want to pack up my old pair of AR glasses and trade them in for the new pair that is coming out next week so I can get a big discount applied. It's good timing because I have an eye doctor's appointment tomorrow so I'll be out. Because of the appointment, I'll work on the stuff I was coding earlier today tonight so that I can get some stuff to folks tomorrow so they can work on their stuff since I'll probably have my eyes dilated. Got a lot to do, but I'm going to eat dinner first and then get to work.

Have a great night!

peace piece
