Day 1289: Silver Lining

liner notes:

  • Professional : Pretty productive day. Had 2 meetings and an all hands meeting. During the larger team call, I got to demo the applications I've been working on. Luckily it all worked and people seemed to like them. Another person did a demo they've been working on and it was using a project that I helped get started. There weren't any community questions, I think folks may be getting ready for the holidays. For the rest of the day, I worked on the 3rd sample application for the trio of tutorials I've been creating.

  • Personal : Last night, I went out to an Orlando Developers event. Had a really good time reconnecting with folks I haven't seen in a minute and meeting new folks. The presentations were good. When I got back, I set up the scaffold for some dashboards for my current project.

An aerial view of numerous small, rounded limestone islands covered in dense, vibrant green tropical vegetation. The islands are scattered across a shallow, crystal-clear turquoise sea, with visible sandy underwater patterns and coral reefs surrounding their bases. The setting is the Rock Islands of Palau.

Even though I didn't get much coding done last night due to the event, a silver lining is that I got a bunch of stuff done the night before. haha While writing this blog post, I went down a rabbit hole thinking of how I want to design this 3D model for a series of 7" records I want to release next year. I have this Web application written in HTML, CSS and Vanilla JavaScript. I built it before but used Google Antigravity to do some refactoring. There's a weird error, but everything seems to be working. It requires Three.js, and I think it could be my computer and all the tabs I had open because recently, I was having some weird glitching happening. I'm going to see if I can get the error and glitch figured out. To test the capabilities of Google Antigravity, I think I'm going to see if it will refactor the Web application to an Astro app, that has the Cloudflare adapter for deployment and Stripe for payment. Kind of curious to see what it does. I'll also put together the starter tracks for the radio show this week. Shouldn't be too bad because I've already been going through the projects I picked up on Bandcamp this week. I may do a sketch of the 3D model I was thinking about earlier so I have it out of my brain and in a digital file that I can then reference when I model it. Going to eat dinner and get to work.

Have a great night!

peace piece
