Day 1290 : Order

liner notes:

  • Professional : Got the final sample application I've been working on for a new feature of the documentation site. I had to make some updates to the tool I created to generate the zip file that when I upload it to a GitHub repo, I made a GitHub action that then processes the zip file to create the application that can be worked on and deployed via GitHub Codespaces. That completes the trio. I sent the link to the team, so they can take it and incorporate it into what they are working on. So, I got all the stuff people were kind of relying on me done. I responded to a community question. Said Happy Holidays to folks in the Slack channels and called it a day.

  • Personal : Last night, I worked on refactoring my current Web application. With the help of Google's Antigravity, I was able to get it converted to an Astro application with Firebase and Stripe. I didn't try it yet, but I think I just need to enter in some environment variables and it should be saving files to Firebase Storage and creating a Stripe Checkout form to test. There's a few other things I'll need to add to make sure it's compatible with the dashboards that I coded up with the help of Google Gemini and get everything deployed so I can test it with some folks. I also went through some tracks for the radio show. I started sketching out a model that I want to 3D print for another project for next year.

A magnificent panoramic view of a large Alpine lake with vibrant turquoise water nestled between towering mountainsides covered in lush green forests. Rocky, snow-dusted peaks rise in the background, with a small village visible in the distant valley along the shore. The setting is the iconic Urnersee Lake in Switzerland.

First order of business for today is to put together the starter tracks for the radio show and get the social media posts together. After that, I'll either see if can flesh out the 3D model idea more and maybe get something started in Tinkercad or work on getting these applications ready to be deployed. I'll probably work on the web applications since I want to get them in front of folks to try out and that may take time to hear back, especially over the holiday season. Speaking of holidays, I'm taking off work for like 2 weeks till January 5th 2026. So no blog posts till then. I'll still be doing the radio show on Saturdays at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com and the study sessions at https://untilit.works on Sundays. If you are reading this, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! Looking forward to seeing what the future holds. Going to eat dinner and get to work.

Have a great night!

peace piece
