liner notes:
Professional : Today I was able to port over the proof of concept application I made that will be the final product for my upcoming workshop. The framework I put together to create the workshop was actually robust enough to work for this application. Some of the changes I made previously made it straight forward to integrate this project. I created the files the application needs in the framework, zipped it up and uploaded it to the GitHub repo. The GitHub Action fired and built all the files needed. I had to add a line to the devcontainer.json so that it would use at least Node 22 which the project needs. I then opened the project in a GitHub Codespace, entered in information that the setup script asks for, and the custom start command I set ran and the project was up and running. It seemed to work, but then I got an error. Found out that there has been new updates and the way the package.json was set up, one library got updated and the other one didn't so it caused an issue. I pinned the libraries to the latest version and re-installed all the dependencies. Started the server again and everything worked fine without me having to change any code, thank goodness. Then I had a couple of back to back meetings. They went by pretty quickly and we got some stuff ironed out. Went back to my workshop to clean up some code and make it a little easier to change some things so the attendees will be able to incorporate their own additions after I walk them through setting things up. Then I started working on the actual steps to create the application. I got to the point that explains the framework we will be using and went down a rabbit hole trying to learn as much as I can about it for the rest of the day. It can do a lot!
Personal : Last night, I modified the 3D model for the box that the items for this project will come in to accommodate the increase in size of the other items. I also started the modification on how the battery will be inserted in another item. I ran into an issue where the space between the leads of the light is too narrow. I need to figure out how to configure things to work. I'll probably ask AI for some solutions. I also started working on the social media posts for the projects I'm picking up on Bandcamp this week.
I may have thought of a way to get this battery to work in this item. Going to go and see what I can work out. I really want to get this stuff finished so I can start with the promotions and getting the website ready to take orders. Going to finish putting together the social media posts for the Bandcamp projects I'm buying this week. Yeah, I want to spend a lot of time on this 3D model so I can finally get it mark completed. Somehow, someway I need to get this project completed.
Have a great night!
peace piece
